Sony Ericsson W8 mobile phone is a mobile device that actually falls under Smartphone category and supports HSDPA (all 3G network bands of this frequency) and GSM (all 2G network bands of this frequency).

Sony took steps in April 2011 just to announce or make this Smartphone public but only in media as Sony said at the time of announcement of W8 mobile that it may touch users’ fingers or hands in May 2011.

But the latest updates about Sony Ericsson W8 mobile phone are claiming that Sony Ericsson could not market W8 mobile phone yet despite of announcing its release in May 2011. Sony Ericsson W8 mobile phone has 168 MB RAM as well as 128 MB internal or pre-added storage along with unlimited phonebook and record keeping ability of all calls. But 16GB external (really huge) storage is also supported by W8 mobile phone.

This in-discussion W8 mobile phone has video capturing ability at 30fps and has geo-tagging with 2048 x 1536 pixels quality over 3.15 MP camera of this Smartphone. Android OS v2.1 is on the back of W8 smartphone which is named as Éclair OS. Its CPU has chipset of Qualcomm MSM7227 and has ARM 11 processor of 600 MHz capacity.
