Research in Motion Recalls 1,000 BlackBerry PlayBook Tablets

Research in Motion, which is widely recognized as the organization behind world’s renowned brand in smartphones as well as in tablets named as BlackBerry, is currently making headlines for issuing a recall, sources said. More or less 1,000 BlackBerry PlayBook tablets have been recalled by RIM or you may say Research in Motion Ltd. yesterday, sources said.

This recall of Research in Motion Ltd. is only because these tablets were actually erroneously shippted with OS that later on has been recognized as faulty operating system. Therefore users of BlackBerry PlayBook may be prevented by this faulty operating system from performing or doing the device’s much required initial setup, sources said.

RIM or you may say Research in Motion Ltd. issued a statement in this regard on Sunday afternoon that the distribution channel is the place where most of thee in-discussion around 1,000 BlackBerry PlayBook defected or affected tablets are placed currently and were being waited to be shipped to their buyers. Now these affected devices or tablets of RIM are being intended to be replaced at earliest, sources said.

RIM or Research in Motion Ltd. further detailed that the company received only few complaints that are claiming that the initial set-up is not being loaded properly by their BlackBerry PlayBook devices or tablets and therefore the RIM had been contacted by them for further assistance. It resulted in issuing a recall from the company, sources said.

The RIM or Research in Motion Ltd., which was already facing troubles because of the company’s comparatively lower profit of this quarter only because of lower sales of BlackBerry products, is probably having a latest setback after surfacing this affected news about BlackBerry PlayBook tablets.
