Quanta Computer and 3M to produce touch screen displays, reports claimed.

The notorious or giant in the contract manufacturing field i.e. Quanta Computer is in intention of collaborating with another giant known as 3M.

This collaboration in 3M and Quanta is being described to produce touch screen displays which will be used widely across the globe for tablet PCs as well as in netbooks in addition to be used for all-in-one computers.

Quanta Computer and 3M have joined their hands together just in intention to build or to form a new company which will work to produce advance-level displays of touch screen category for the purpose to be used in netbooks as well as in tablet PCs, reports claimed.

This formation between Quanta and 3M has been developed in Singapore today.

“Projected Capacitive” technology, which is known as trademark of 3M, will be used by the new company of Quanta Computer and 3M joint venture to produce glass screens of multi-touch category, reports claimed.

The currently in-market multi-touch technology of 3M is widely being used with several different Microsoft Windows’ platform i.e. from XP to Windows 7, reports claimed.

Millions of laptops are normally produced by Quanta Computer on monthly basis for clients in which Hewlett-Packard as well as Sony is also included.

3M has big hopes that the production of Quanta and 3M’s joint venture will definitely help increase the user base of 3M’s touch screen displays, stated by Jenni Balthrop who is known as spokeswoman of 3M.

Further reports in terms of Quanta Computer and 3M to produce touch screen displays news are claiming that this newly announced joint venture will start working properly in Singapore sometime later in this year just around the existing facilities of 3M.
