Legacy apps would not be run by Microsoft Windows 8 on ARM architecture, sources said. Microsoft is currently in intention of porting their upcoming and much-in-discussion version of their operating system i.e. Microsoft Windows 8, to the very popular architecture called ARM architecture, sources said.

Though Microsoft’s working is in process to port this upcoming Windows’ version but the Intel’s general manager to the services and software group is seen insisting yesterday evening that any sleep would not be lost by her only because of a bruising battle in an arena called more competitive arena, sources said.

Especially when this battle will be seen spreading to the personal computers, she said. Renee James is the general manager of Intel to its services and software group who made her appearance in Santa Clara area of California on Tuesday afternoon, sources said.

Renee James told in Santa Clara while talking to the forum of Investor Meeting 2011 organized by Intel on Tuesday afternoon that upcoming project of Microsoft (which is popularly known as Microsoft Windows 8) is being intended to make available for the use in both ARM architecture and x86 environments, sources said.

Windows 8 traditional will be seen probably running on the environment called x86 chips that will easily handle or you may say manage legacy apps.

But this Windows 8 traditional will not be able to run legacy apps on the ARM architecture and Microsoft will release a separate version for this purpose of their operating system that will support legacy apps on ARM. It means legacy apps would be run by Microsoft Windows 8 on ARM architecture without using the separate software.
