iPad 2 screen yellowing by LG LCD defect, reports claimed. A LCD panel, which actually was created by LG to be used in Apple iPad 2, is currently facing a defect that is yellowing the screen of iPad 2.
This defect of LCD panels eventually resulted in diverting the manufacturing privileges of the Apple iPad 2 towards Samsung and now majority of these privileges is with Samsung, reports claimed.
The defect of LCD panels, which actually is resulting in iPad 2 screen in displaying yellowish color, is being described by the Digitimes as result of light leak which is leaking probably from the edges of the screen or display screen.
This error is noted by the Apple iPad 2 users only whenever the darker objects are tried to be displayed on their device.
Digitimes further reported about this recently surfaced defect in the LG LCD panels that several users have reported this defect in their devices which actually is attributable to the LG’s made LCD panels, reports claimed.
More or less 4 million panels of 9.7-inch category have been shipped so far by Samsung whereas the rival company of Samsung, i.e. LG has shipped the same category panels only 800,000 in number.
The production of LG LCD panels has been halted by LG shortly after the iPad 2 screen yellowing defect was surfaced by many users of this Apple’s product, reports claimed. The return to this supply line (that surfaced as defected in iPad 2) will be made by LG probably in the coming or second quarter, reports claimed. Nearly 3.2 million units of iPad were shifted by Apple during 2011′s first three months.
