Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb is limiting access of this open source version of tablet-oriented devices that are using this operating system, reports claimed.
The access of this open source operating system has been restricted by Google Inc. yesterday which is being described as a disappointing move by this search giant.
Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb was being described by many experts being a fork of the operating system of mobiles and now probably they were right in their views because the open source of this operating system for the tablet-oriented devices has been closed by Google Inc. Now the access of this version’s open source codes would be given to specific developers as well as to OEMs, reports claimed.
Google’s management stated in support of this move of restricting the access of Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system to the specific developers as well as to the OEMs only that experiment to this operating system especially on the smarphones is not actually intended by the company because the purpose of designing this operating system was not to be operated on smartphone.
People are experimenting this operating system software on smartphones which originally was designed to be operated or installed and run on tablet-oriented devices only; therefore the access of this open source software is being restricted, Google say.
Android is preferably called by Google Inc. as a Linux of mobile operating system. But as you know Linux is an open source operating system; therefore the claim of Google is not valid any more as they restricted the access of their tablet-oriented devices’ operating system.
