EMC Corp.’s Security Division RSA hacked, reports claimed.

The biggest maker of the world in terms of data storage computers recently gave a public statement on Thursday morning in which the EMC management admitted that their security division known as RSA has been hacked.

The company further stated in its media briefing of Thursday morning that a widely used technology has been compromised by the intruders for preventing the break-ins of their computers.

This Security Division’s hacking acknowledgement is being described as an embarrassment for EMC Corp which is also recognized as a premier security vendor in the world.

The breach probably threatens highly sensitive systems or computer systems of this company, reports claimed.

EMC Corp.’s Security Division RSA hacked and this public acknowledgement is being described as a rare incident from any security company who recently announced that the internal technologies of this security company have been hacked recently.

RSA actually plays an important role for EMC Corp. in terms of technology which is sold by this security vendor, in making sure that login access to unauthorized people should not be allowed into their heavily guarded networks.

Though EMC Corp. acknowledged the Security Division RSA hacking incident but the scope of this most recent hacking incident to this largest data storage computers’ company was not disclosed yet in their statement.

But experts say that potential fallout of this security breach could be widespread. Various bands as well as governments, medical facilities, military and health insurance outfits are the customers or RSA.

EMC Corp. is also recognized as the customer of RSA which actually is world largest data storage company in terms of computer data and based in Hopkinton.
