No doubt that Apple iPad was the top ranking performer of year 2010 but it is being expected that year 2011 would be the year of Android-based tablet machines, reports claimed.

Though 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1V tablet was the only competitor of Apple iPad which was released in tablet market by Samsung in year 2010 but the inclusion of Android 2.2 really hampered this device.

Android 2.2 was actually the operating system which was specifically designed to be run on smartphones or mobile phones but Samsung included it in their tablet version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1V and could not get much attention.

However, the release of Android 3.0 this year (which actually is purely to be used in tablet devices) would definitely raise some serious competition for Apple iPad 2.

Though 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7100 tablet was the most prominent Android 3.0 tablets in year 2011 but some other notable manufacturers of tablet devices i.e. Asus Eee Pad Transformer as well as Motorola Xoom, LG Optimus Pad and Acer Iconia Tab A500, are also being described as imminent releases of this tablet operating system.

7-inc Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet actually touched the market in year 2011 with two different versions of this device i.e. an original version and a revised version.

The original version of this Samsung’s device was ditched in several countries even before the official production of this device. Tab 10.1V comes with 8MP camera.

The original model of this Samsung’s tablet device is to sale in United Kingdom in collaboration with Vodafone UK, reports claimed.
